Current mood: accomplished

Well.
Dear Community,

Percy Weasley here. I am, of course, entirely too busy working assiduously at the Ministry to keep up much of a journal, I'm afraid. I am not entirely positive that this is such a useful idea; however, Minster Fudge appears to be all for it, so I am quite sure the ends shall justify the means (somehow).

I have heard word that my littlest brother is also keeping himself occupied with a log. Hello, Ronald. I hope you are doing well with your academics.

Things at the Ministry are naturally as compelling as always. I am positively 'swamped', as they say, with paperwork, and I certainly would not wish to have it any other way. My occupation is my life, and if it were not for me, I imagine things would fall apart. However, I shall not go on about myself. It would be flagrantly uncouth.

I have heard that Professor Lupin is resuming his employment at Hogwarts. My intuition tells me that this is a good thing, particularly since Ronald and Virginia seemed to enjoy his teaching so. I do miss the old school. I particularly miss History of Magic. I must admit I do find Goblin Rebellions rather compelling. Perhaps one of these days, when I am not too busy with the Ministry, I shall make an excursion to Hogwarts and spend some time conversing with Professor Binns on the war of 1654. Ah, I cannot collect enough text on the matter.

Here is an interesting little tidbit for you all: did you know that Urdrick the Unbearable was considered a God in Ethiopa in his time? Apparently the Ethiopians created altars for him in sand dunes, built from clay and soil. I certainly had a while laughing over that little story.

Ah. Off to work now; a man's job is never done.

Sincerely,
Percy Weasley.

Hullo Percy, what are you doing here? Not that I'm not happy to see you, of course. This online community is a very bad idea, no wonder you approve. Would love to stay and have a fascinating chat about Urdick the Unbelievable but I am rather busy breathing right now. Say hi to Mum and Dad and the rest if you get the chance to see them, busy man, you are.

Ron, who is not very little.

Re:

Ronald, it is Urdrick the Unbearable; you need to pay more attention to these facts, as you have N.E.W.T.s this year. How will you ever pass if you cannot notice the slightest difference between Unbelieveable and Unbearable? Mother and Father would be so disappointed, as I soon will be too. I have more patience than they, of course; but then, their expectations for you are higher.

I am, of course, here because Minister Fudge has decided that we shall all be keeping these journals to log our time spent and such. It is, of course, a perfectly reasonable idea. I do not see why you cannot understand it.

Mother and Father, I am sure, will send their regards.

Fondly,
Percy.

Good lord. I haven't been this bored since my days in the womb.

Malfoy,

I am not going to lower myself to your level by remarking on how evil and vile you are. Instead, I will just ignore you, as I know that you could not possibly understand what is fascinating about history. After all, you are one of the ones out to end it, aren't you?

Disrespectfully,
Percy Weasley
