If you wish to accomplish anything efficiently, do not allow the company of a chatterbox werewolf.
What should have been a brief venture into the village of Hogsmeade resulted in my being out of the castle for too long a period of time. I procured my ink immediately upon arrival, which should have meant I could return to the school without delay. However, Lupin apparently had errands that involved every damned shop in the town as well as conversations with their proprietors. Then he insisted that we sup upon the sub-par fare of the Three Broomsticks. By the time we finally returned to Hogwarts the day had long since ended, and now I am faced with marking Potions essays tomorrow instead of taking in an extremely important session in my laboratory.
I am unimpressed, Lupin. You obviously have no concept of maintaining a proper schedule. I will not be so patient the next time.
Lilitou has progressed beyond the monosyllabic. I am pleased by her ability to request specific creatures to feed upon, however I am not amused by whomever has taught her to address me in a decidedly flippant manner. Don't think I do not know who you are, and I expect you to undo the damage you have wrought upon my familiar.
The infernal spirit that has recently taken up residence in the dungeons continues to wail at all hours, straining my Silencing Charms to their breaking point. The Bloody Baron hasn't a clue who it is; he suggested that I seek counsel with The Fat Friar as he suspects that the displaced urchin may belong to Hufflepuff. Why it has chosen the dungeons in which to dwell I do not know, and if it is indeed a Hufflepuff then the Friar had best excommunicate it from here as quickly as possible. I do not take kindly to being interrupted by wailing whelps - alive and otherwise.
The hour is late, and I have much to do that is far more important than writing anything more here.
