Current mood:enraged

Last night I spent the better part of an hour standing around the dungeons like an imbecile, all because Potter wanted to go hunting for Zabini, and then he didn't even bother to show up. I had to go retrieve him. Then he made me wait some more! I don't have time to stand around waiting for Potter all day. Something bit my arm in the dungeons, and now I'll need all new vaccinations. Personally, I suspect Millicent.

In any case, the hunt for the page bandit turned out to be a bust. For some reason Potter seemed to feel it would be best to look outside. Since, of course, the pages were stolen by birds looking for dull reading to fill their nests. I found a snake in the grass, so Potter decided to take the opportunity to brush up on his Parseltongue. The boy wastes no opportunities to show off. He kept telling me to watch, as though he were a five-year-old and I was ignoring his gymnastics. Soon there were snakes all over the place, and for a moment I thought Potter's head was going to make a three-hundred-and-sixty degree rotation. Unfortunately for my morbid interest, this was not the case. An entire evening, gone.

Mother has sent me another pair of dragonhide gloves, by way of Potter at breakfast. Which is, of course, perfectly rational, as lord knows she couldn't have sent it directly to me. I suppose I'm not polite enough for that.

I've just got back from Quidditch practice, and narrowly avoided having my eye gouged out with a Beater's club. Which is odd, seeing as Sally-Anne and Millicent were the Beaters, and as I've yet to replace Sally-Anne, Millicent is the only one left. Surely Millicent wouldn't threaten me with bodily harm. That would just be completely and utterly shocking. If, you know, Millicent weren't a bitter pig-woman.

We were outside because you got lost in your own dungeons. You were the one who said you knew where you were going.

potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 05:37 pm UTC

Sure, Potter. That's just what you want me to think happened.

just_harry @ 2003-04-24 05:42 pm UTC

Like you wanted me to think you knew what you were doing?

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 05:43 pm UTC

I always know perfectly well what I'm doing.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-04-24 05:45 pm UTC

So why couldn't you find where it lived, then?

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 05:47 pm UTC

Because it's inconsequential. As though I have time to mark down the addresses of every creepy little creature.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-04-24 05:55 pm UTC

Yeah, it would be alot of work if you lived down there. What did we even go for anyway?

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 05:59 pm UTC

I'm having a bit of trouble remembering. Possibly this is because I have a collapsed lung, making it difficult to recall painful memories.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-04-24 06:02 pm UTC

You should know by now that the best club belongs to me. It told you so itself.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 06:06 pm UTC

My lung is collapsed, I've been bitten by a ferocious beast, and you're making jokes. That's very sporting of you.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-04-24 06:09 pm UTC

Oh, I'm sorry. Do you need help up to the hospital wing? Or is it too late for that?

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 06:10 pm UTC

I suspect it's too late. It's getting dark now. Oh, but there's a light.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-04-24 06:19 pm UTC

Well I didn't know you were so delicate.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 06:25 pm UTC

You hit me.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-04-24 06:28 pm UTC

You hit me first, anklebiter.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 06:34 pm UTC

Well, with your graceful manoeuvring, I'm certain you only would've ended up hitting yourself in the end. Forehead all right?

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-04-24 06:39 pm UTC

No. I'm feeling a little weak. It's getting dark. But there's a light.

My forehead is fine. You're the one about to keel over from your injuries.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 06:48 pm UTC

Pardon me if we're not all Parselmouths, Potter. I'm sure the thick skull of a snake was passed on to you as well.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-04-24 06:56 pm UTC

You're still freaked out about that!

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 06:59 pm UTC

I was not 'freaked out.' It was entertaining, I suppose.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-04-24 07:02 pm UTC

You were so! I don't even know why you asked me to talk to them at all.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 07:07 pm UTC

Because it's interesting, Potter. You don't see anyone else doing it, now do you?

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-04-24 07:30 pm UTC

Guess not.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 07:51 pm UTC

Well you don't have to act so sombre about it. If it means that much to you, I'll pretend I was 'freaked out' by your trick.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-04-24 07:58 pm UTC

Well, you were.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 08:15 pm UTC

Sure, Potter. Whatever you'd like to hear.

(parent)
blondenarcissa @ 2003-04-24 06:19 pm UTC

My darling son,

I do not know where you are getting the idea that you are 'not polite enough' for me to directly send you a package. I merely thought that since Harry was going to Hogwarts that I would save Professor Lupin's owl a trip and just send the parcel along with him. If I had known you would be this upset I would have just taken the time to inconvenience Professor Lupin's owls.

Love,
Mother

potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 06:25 pm UTC

That's what owls are for, Mother. They like carrying the post.

(parent)
blondenarcissa @ 2003-04-24 06:28 pm UTC

Yes, well, I just thought it would be a nice change. Forgive me for trying to do things differently for once in my life.

Mother

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 06:36 pm UTC

You're changing things without even asking me what I want! Never mind me, I'll just sit here with my threadbare robes, suffering.

(parent)
blondenarcissa @ 2003-04-24 06:41 pm UTC

Then what is it you want? Tell me and I shall try to do it for you.

Mother

P.S. You do not have threadbare robes. I just bought you a new set on Diagon Alley the other day.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 06:49 pm UTC

They are puce.

(parent)
blondenarcissa @ 2003-04-24 06:54 pm UTC

Puce is a perfectly lovely colour on you and you still did not answer my question.

Mother

(parent)
blondenarcissa @ 2003-04-24 07:35 pm UTC

Well? I'm waiting.

Mother

Draco, don't be silly. Millicent wouldn't do something like that. You're being very harsh on her.

potterstinks @ 2003-04-24 07:00 pm UTC

She's the only one with a bat, Pansy.

petitemillicent @ 2003-04-24 07:02 pm UTC

Speak for yourself.
