Since you're all so eager to know and I feel everyone has the right to, fine. Here's what happened, in glorious detail. I'm sure you all recall the night of Lupin's housewarming party. Of course you do, as, after all, that was the debut of Potter as a drunkard.
Picture it if you will. I, a moralistic and honest Prefect; Potter, debauched. Of course, looking back on it now, it does sound the perfect scenario or someone to be taken advantage of. However, at the time, as I'd not been on the computer, I was completely unaware of Potter's inebriation. Until I found him in the Transfiguration corridor, trying to sleep against a wall. Though perhaps the better terminology would be 'trying to sleep with a wall.'
In any case, I immediately realised he was drunk and was disgusted. I couldn't help but be reminded of the things My Father had told me about Hagrid before I came to Hogwarts, to warn me. Evidently the oaf set fire to his bed in fits of drunken glee once in awhile. I myself find drinking to be terribly uncouth. Slugging around mugs of mead is not my idea of a fine time.
Being the generous person that I am, instead of turning Potter in to Professor Snape, as I rightly should have, I told him to get back to Gryffindor, as he obviously didn't have a sodding clue where he was. Instead he started wobbling around, and he put his head on my neck, as though it were a perfectly normal place to go to sleep. He probably left a grease stain. Much to my nausea and dismay, the memory of this is burnt into my mind. Since I have such a winning sense of humour, I inquired as to whether Potter was planning to kiss me, since he seemed so dumbly fascinated by the presence of a non-animal-crossover-human. It was a joke. It was supposed to snap him out of it and make him flee in embarrassment at being caught in such a stupid, pathetic state. Instead, do you know what he did? Listen closely, Hogwarts. He said, 'Yeah.'
Naturally I was sickened and left the scene. But by then it was far too late. I soon realised what sort of perversion Potter had been up to at Lupin and Black's. It's not really surprising. They liquoured him up and tried to turn him into one of them. I happened to be the unlucky person to find him in that state. I had to go to the lavatory and shove my fingers down my throat to make myself sick. I had to take a shower to make sure there weren't any germs on me. Who knows what they could have been carrying?
Then he started stalking my journal, leaving those pathetic little attempts at apology that were transparently trying to make sure I was fine with it. No, I'm not fine with it, you stupid little queer. I don't appreciate being the victim of sexual depression. What if I hadn't stopped him? What if he'd been coherent enough to get his wand?
In any case, no, Finnigan, I don't waste insults.

I may have said that but it was in a completely different context as I did was not close friends with Remus at that point in time. Since getting to know Remus and Sirius, my views on this issue have been altered. They are my friends and I am quite disgusted with how you are treating them. As much as I respect and admire your recent attempts to forge a new independent identity for yourself, I must inform you that your reproaches are coming a bit late to do serious good. If you are actually deluding yourself that you and your husband have indeed taught Draco tolerance and respect for diversity all these many years, let me remind you of a few things. In all the years I have known him, have watched him grow up under your influence, I have seen only that you have taught him that true gentlemen are exclusionary and cold-hearted; that true ladies have their work done for them by servants and never interfere in the personal lives of their sons and daughters; that proper aristocrats are detached from all semblance of feeling and do their best to associate only with those whose habits and behavior most exactly resemble their own.
If in any of these traits you can find the smallest hint of an open-minded education and exposure to other lifestyles, I will gladly trade in all my Boeotian teaching methods and adopt your draconian habits instead, for they certainly seem to have worked admirably to raise exactly the kind of son you prize. Considering that of all the people on earth whose existence I am at the greatest pains to justify with the least amount of success, your name is at the top of the list, I find your attempts to discipline your son over behaviour he learned from you to be utterly revolting.
delusional arrogance at choosing to make him "justify his existence" to you and Narcissa is matched only by your hypocrisy. It was you who taught him to show disdain for all who were even remotely different from him, while impressing upon him a superficial respect you do not feel for anyone in a position of authority. And he is now to be punished simply because he cannot keep his fangs behind his smile so well as you would wish him to? Your hypocrisy disgusts me, as does your shallow disregard for the feelings of others so long as their oppression makes you look good. Given your complete lack of morality and the constant mixed signals you are forever sending him with the way your words and your deeds completely contradict one another, it is absolutely miraculous that your son has turned out as well as he has.
