Current mood:enraged

Professor Snape has granted me permission to go to the Hogsmeade station on Friday afternoon, so I'll be missing Arithmancy and Potions. I expect Pansy will copy the lessons for me, as I'd hate to fall behind. I'd considered taking Millicent along for safety's purposes, but I suspect she'd only scare off the children.

Today Finnigan and I took archives of Moda Stregone and Wizard's Quarterly and decided to cut out robes and styles and place them onto photos of classmates so as to show what they actually should wear. You'd think that this would be a good thing, as it would help the helpless, but no no. Thomas came swaggering in (wearing black, of course, in two opposite shades) just as we were putting the finishing touches on Chang and suddenly the afternoon degenerated into Finnigan trailing after him crying 'Baby' this and 'Baby' that. Needless to say, I discarded the collages and returned to Slytherin Tower.

Slytherin was due to play Ravenclaw this weekend and Gryffindor next weekend, but as I've not yet trained a Beater I'll have to talk to McGonagall about postponing both matches. The Hufflepuff versus Ravenclaw match will simply have to be pushed up, which will of course be exciting for everyone as it's the match we've all been waiting for. The ennui shall be breathtaking. Everyone knows Finch-Fletchley and Chang are the most exciting Seekers in the school. The grudge-match of the century, it shall be. The Slytherin and Gryffindor rivalry was a mere smokescreen until now. We shall soon see who can prove to be the duller of the two Houses. My vote is on a tie.

I've finally managed to resecure my new Snitch, which I of course bought off of Creevey's little Potter bonanza, seeing as it should have been mine in the first place. I accidentally let it loose at Dogear Wryde and it eluded capture so was left there after I finished my Astronomy project. Potter must realise that it should have been mine, seeing as he was quite prompt about returning it at the ungodly hour of 0430 a few days ago. Incidentally, it turns out that Potter's hair looks no different first thing in the morning.

The culprit who stole my robes from the lavatory at Hallowe'en is still at large. Oh, yes, I'm certain they thought I'd forgotten all about that, but I intend to see them publicly embarrassed by the time exams are over. Consider this your final warning.

Dean, get over it!

I don't really sound like that, do I?

Tell me you saved that stuff. That was a lot of work, man. We really should be able to get independent study credit for it.

potterstinks @ 2003-05-21 09:37 am UTC

Well, of course I saved it. I certainly don't throw away anything I spend time on. Perhaps McGonagall will see this as a new method of Transfiguration.

Er...

Well. That's... what I mean to say is...

Right then. I think I'll stick to my current wardrobe, thanks very much.

(Sirius is horrified. I'll never get him out from under the bed.)

Professor, we were just doing some experiments with colour. Wouldn't you like to see your husband wearing something other than black?

It might encourage Dean, at the least

As for yours, we tried a brown one but it didn't quite look right.

deanthomas @ 2003-05-21 12:56 pm UTC

I like black. It hides the turpentine stains.

seamus_f @ 2003-05-21 02:42 pm UTC

How about a nice orange, on a day when you aren't painting?

How about smocks when you are?

How about I want everyone to look at you and be jealous of me? Not that they aren't already, but even more so?

(parent)
lupercus @ 2003-05-21 01:02 pm UTC

Thanks all the same, Seamus, but I rather prefer him in black. It gives him a sort of mysterious, dangerous image that I'm ... well, let's just say I'm rather fond of it.

As for me, I'm hopeless. Don't waste your time, dear. There's no hope for me. I have always been a fashion accident, and I'm perfectly happy that way.

Snape, that sexy bastard

I thought I'd contribute to the party. It's so nice to see other boys standing up and saying, "Hey, look, we can play with dollies too." It warms my heart to see you two so comfortable with your masculinity. In honor of the occasion....

Also, Malfoy, I've a lovely charcoal puffy lace-up white shirt with balloon sleeves that would suit you wonderfully. Feel free to borrow it any time.

Boot, the more you run, the more she'll chase you. Stand still. The most she can do is sit on you and she's done that already.

Besides, I think that ring icon of hers is sweet.

First of all, that was clearly a pointed statement meant to remind you of the incident. Second of all, my attempted murder? You're the one who started shouting about philistines and grabbed it in the first place.

Now this, I support whole-heartedly. Very good, very accurate really, if you consider this photograph of young Severus from, I believe, our sixth year:

I personally would like to find the person who introduced him to his current Victorian state of dress and turn them into a cactus.

No. I like this photo. It's framed and hanging in the loo, as a matter of fact. Place of honour.

You were a fine figure of a man, once upon a time, do you know? It's amazing what a good dose of puberty can do for a bloke.

Two can play at this game, Lupin.

A relic from your seventh-year "shiny" phase. You and Lucius have more in common than you realise, it would seem.

How did you- Okay, fine. You want to play? We'll play.

Nice headband. This was, obviously, before you discovered the wonder of Sleekeazy's Cleansing Potions. Ah, that was a red-letter day, it was.

Re: Snape, that sexy bastard

Ah, yes. Those three months in sixth-year when Sirius decided that clothing was a violation of his personal rights.

I believe that was after you tripped James in the hall after Potions, and Lily was quite put-out about it. You had taken to wearing the tightest trousers I'd ever seen - it's a wonder your legs didn't rot off.

Re: Snape, that sexy bastard

That girl was always one to hex first, ask questions later.

Why did you notice what I was wearing, anyway?

You will never be the type, Lupin. Your place on that contraption is always going to be on the back. I believe there's a phrase for that, but as we are currently in a student's journal I will refrain from spelling it out. I am certain, however, you know what I mean.

Are you quite done?

Re: Snape, that sexy bastard

Everyone noticed what you were wearing, Severus. We thought it was the end of the world when you emerged from beneath all those layers. A pity you've gone back under them since - though I wonder, do you still know how to do this come-hither look?

Because really, you'd probably spend fewer nights playing drunken Scrabble with Sirius and I if you pitched that at a few people.

Are you done?

Whether I can still assume that particular expression or not, Lupin, is none of your business.

And perhaps if you picked up a dictionary once in a while, you might be able to manage a triple-word score of your own. Your jealousy of my vocabulary does not become you.

I believe I am done. I have better things I could be doing, of course. Do you?

As you obviously have ample free time on your hands, Mr Boot, you won't mind detention this evening collecting Hippogriff dung for the second years' Odiferous Potions lessons tomorrow.

Do not project your atrocious preference in attire upon my person again.
