Current mood:enraged

I've just received an owl from Lupin asking where Potter is. Why is Lupin owling me at home? Anyway, Potter, just so you know, people are looking for you.

My holiday to Italy has been cut off early, I'm glad to say. I've returned to Malfoy Manor and I suppose I'll have to start preparing my things to return to Hogwarts on 1 September. Father and I will have to go to Diagon Alley soon, I imagine.

Father, Mother and I went to Pisa earlier in the week to visit some decrepit tower they have that was leaning in a rather queer fashion. Of course, we tried to rectify it, but no one seemed to be having any of that and there were quite a few Memory Charms that had to be cast. Anyway, my sunburn was acting up, so it was just as well that we had to return to the villa. My quarters there, by the way, are quite spacious.

I went to see Doge's Palace in Venice by myself earlier, and it was rather interesting. It's done in Italian Gothic, so I suppose I appreciated the decor, though I don't enjoy being on the waterfront. I think I'd make a good Doge, myself. Perhaps I should look into that. The whole place was rather strange. The Bridge of Sighs was stupid. You couldn't even throw anything off of it.

My Mother has decided to go on one of her dramatic sprees and she's thrown My Father from the villa in Italy. I, of course, had no idea until she called me to her chambers and tried to turn me against My Father and then tried to get me to go to Cannes with her. I think she's been reading far too much of that Hero Polygraphy person and I'll not be used as a weapon in this sort of thing. My Father has taken enough from her as it is, what with the way she tries to go into a storm over one thing or another every few weeks. Of course, she's My Mother, so I've been infinitely patient until now, but I'll not be participating in separations.

I didn't even know Father had left until she told me and she tried to convince me that he'd done something to me. I rather think I'd know if he had. So I Apparated back to the Manor and Father took me out for dinner. I thought he should try ordering My Mother to come back to the Manor, but of course, Father is more generous than that, so he didn't. I don't know what's got into her this time, but I'll not be traipsing all over the Continent due to it. I'm going to stay right here at the Manor with My Father until she apologises for whatever she's done. I'm sure Father wouldn't have gone back to Wiltshire if she hadn't done something herself. After all, he's always been able to talk sense into her. I'm sure he would have done so if she hadn't done something in this case, so I can only hope she'll come to her senses and realise she's done something wrong.

Anyway, Father and I have spent the past couple days brilliantly. My Father, as you must know, is a rather clever and valiant man, so it's always fabulous to spend time with him. He's an excellent role model, and I always feel as though I've learnt so much just by being in his presence. For example, of course, he's obviously displaying patience right now, which I'm sure I ought to learn more of. Perhaps Father and I can go to Diagon Alley together next week.
