Current mood:enraged

Last night I dreamt that Professor Snape's dungeons were flooded, and you had to walk across books to get to the benches. Too bad for the Gryffindors, as their benches were in the back and they were just sitting underwater the entire time. I suppose at some point I must have been someone else, as I was talking to myself. I'm really quite handsome. Then we had to cross through an annoying amount of reeds to get to the castle again, but everyone started shrieking like girls because a vampire turned out to be there. Of course, I wasn't scared, so then the vampire put me under some sort of trance and ordered me to kill an Acromantula. It was going to turn me into a vampire in reward, but I thoughtfully declined. So I went to have a shower afterwards, and then I got completely lost and wound up in a most horrific corridor with pictures of Weasley and Granger hung all over the place. It was an absolute nightmare. Then I woke up and Peeves shoved me out of bed.

I can't see a single reason why that poltergeist should be allowed to go into our dormitories. It was five in the morning. Aside from the fact that it's rudely woken me up before, it could steal things. In fact, it could have been Peeves who was lowering my bed all last year! Why should we be subjected to waking up to find poltergeists hovering over our beds with ink pellets? It's inhumane. You'd think I could at least have the right to sleep in privacy without an aggravation, but Hogwarts has taken care of that by hosting Peeves. I don't even see why he's here. Was he a headmaster once? Why is he even a poltergeist? None of the other ghosts are. Perhaps he was insane when he was alive. Then again, who cares? He should be gone.

I tried to take it up with the Bloody Baron before breakfast, but he was in the middle of some sort of row with the headless Gryffindor ghost, so he got rather shirty with me for interrupting. Nott kept trying to corner Crabbe, Goyle and me at breakfast, but he had egg in his beard so naturally I wasn't going to talk to him.

Fortunately, I had Double History of Magic first thing this morning, so I was able to catch up on the sleep I missed due to Peeves. As a matter of fact, I slept through lunch and was almost late for Transfiguration. I'm ever so glad that no one bothered to wake me up when they left History of Magic. Binns, of course, is useless in that he was just standing there when I woke up. Obviously he'd seen I'd fallen asleep but couldn't be bothered to do anything. Perhaps he was hoping I would die and that I wouldn't notice so that I'd just get up and walk around as a ghost as well.

The Tornadoes are in Chudley this evening, along with Potter and a couple of Weasleys. I personally feel that the Tornadoes are overrated. Plumpton hasn't played for them in seventy odd years, but everyone still thinks they're the greatest because he did in the twenties. Sure, Plumpton might have been a good Seeker then, but we're in the nineties now. It's quite clear that Rochefort is the Seeker to be impressed by now, and of course he plays for the Falcons. I don't even know who the Cannons got to replace Maloney as their Seeker. It wasn't mentioned in the last issue of Quidditch Monthly. Perhaps they're just not having one. I don't see why they need to bother, anyway.

Anyway, I've got Transfiguration to practise.

Did you enjoy talking to yourself, Malfoy?

It's not as though we had an in-depth conversation. All I did was ask if we were allowed to keep the texts and then I told myself Snape didn't mind.

No, somehow I managed to miss that between the three simultaneous posts proclaiming that this year is, in fact, the year that Hell will freeze over.
