Current mood:accomplished but also aggravated

Mission accomplished, but at what cost?
Right, so what all of Hogwarts has apparently been waiting for. I give you:

The New and Improved wardrove of Mr. Harry J. Potter

We begin with some knit shirts, quite stretchy as the man in question has a flat stomach and should show it off. I know I would if I had one. Note the colour:

Also a woven shirt, but more close fitting than his usual:

And two long-sleeeved knit shirts. The crew neck made its debut yesterday to much acclaim, if I do say so meself:

To go with these tops, some trousers. How to say this politely? Well fitting trousers on a man is a Good Thing.

Last but not least, two pair jeans. The carpenter jeans, the second pair, were also well received yesterday:

Lest any of you think that I think I am infallible Dean, Harry did not purchase everything I suggested. However, I count it as a success that I kept him from purchasing anything baggy or violet.

Thus ends the fashion portion of our programme.

Now, for more important business. Lately my beloved [info]deanthomas has been working his fingers to the bone on schoolwork and his present for [info]lupercus and [info]jadedsirius. I have been doing all I can to be supportive, bringing him dinner, acting as a sounding board, etc. But sometimes he just wants to be left alone, and I respect that. Given that he wasn't all that happy with me on Wednesday, I was looking forward to spending some time with him at the weekend.

Friday night was fine as far as it went. The lot of us were sitting in the common room discussing this and that, holiday spots and exams and all. And like any of you, we have our usual sitting spots. So I was surprised to find Ron in my spot on the couch next to Dean! I had to sit with Harry and Hermione on the other couch, which was very odd indeed. One cannot hold hands with one's boyfriend across a table. And later, when we were going to bed, Ron sat on Dean's bed so long I thought he was going to try to crawl into it! No, not like that—which makes it even stranger!

Saturday Harry and I went shopping, and then Harry went home and I came back to school hoping to see Dean only to find Ron stuck to his side like glue and antagonizing Malfoy with flannel waistcoats. Why is it left to Finnigan to sort these things out? I simply cannot be everyplace at once. I duly calmed Malfoy but I had to be sexually overt in order to get Dean alone! What is that about?

That said, it was more than worth it. However, I am a gentleman and will say no more.

Yesterday Harry had called a Quidditch practise and I assumed that there would be no problems. Was I wrong! Ron—that's right, Number One Cannons fan, waited four years to get on the team, Quidditch-mad Ronald Weasley—skipped practise to sit around with Dean and talk about colour. Now, Dean is a very nice fellow and not one to tell someone to shove off (note [info]boot_boy) but I WILL.

To Ron Weasley: I have no idea what you are hoping to accomplish, but why can you not let Dean and I have a moment alone? What is your problem all of a sudden? I am not amused.

What do you mean what's my problem?! I don't have a bloody problem, I was just keeping YOUR boyfriend company with you are busy hanging out with other people's friends! I'd think you'll be more grateful for that!

seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 06:18 pm UTC

Keeping him company? Is that why I had to pry him from your hands on Saturday evening? If you were just keeping him company while I was gone, why did you stick by him when I returned? And since when is Harry someone else's friend? He's my friend too, and you've been ignoring him lately anyway! And that doesn't account for Friday night! What the bloody hell was that?

(parent)

I didn't say anything! I don't know where he got this! I didn't tell him anything!

(parent)

Right, I'm sure Weasley is the one sits around fantasising that I'm in some way involved with you.

I didn't tell him anything! He just got some idea! I swear I didn't tell him this!

I don't want to talk to you, Potter.

(parent)

IT! IS! NOT! HARRY'S! FAULT!!!

STOP IT ALREADY

(parent)

IT'S NOT HARRY'S FAULT, STOP FIGHTING WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?!

(parent)

Oh, my god.

WEASLEY, YOU ARE GOING TO DIE.

(parent)

IS THAT WHAT YOU'VE BEEN GOING ON ABOUT ALL DAY? WHO TOLD YOU THAT?!

(parent)
seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 06:43 pm UTC

Ron! What sort of an idiot are you? Of all the . . . Harry never said anything like that! What an assumption! Christ Jesus, Ron!

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-05-26 06:43 pm UTC

JUST BECAUSE POTTER IS OBSESSED WITH ME IT DOESN'T MAKE ME ANYTHING.

(parent)
seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 06:45 pm UTC

Good lord, Malfoy, do calm down. There is no need for shouting. Harry's not obsessed with you, he never has been. This is just some odd idea of Ron's.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-05-26 06:52 pm UTC

No need for shouting? Oh, all right. I'll just get my wand and get off the computer instead.

(parent)
seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 06:58 pm UTC

Okay, that really wasn't the reaction I was hoping for.

(parent)

knight_to_h3 @ 2003-05-26 06:47 pm UTC

YOU ARE THE ONE WITH HARRY'S LAST NAME IN YOUR JOURNAL NAME, MALFOY!!!

(parent)
seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 06:49 pm UTC

So not with the helping, Ron. Go delete your comments like a good boy.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-05-26 06:44 pm UTC

DID POTTER SAY THAT?

(parent)
seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 06:47 pm UTC

Harry never said anything to anyone about anybody being his boyfriend. Like I said, it's just some odd idea of Ron's. He gets confused.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-05-26 06:58 pm UTC

Why would Weasley sit around and conjure this up? In case you hadn't noticed, Weasley isn't exactly the one trying to kiss me in states of inebriation.

(parent)
seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 07:02 pm UTC

You know, that really isn't the thing to be bringing up at this time. I mean, when someone starts attacking then lots of other bits of truth come out and no one wants that.

Ron has apparently had enough time on his hands to not only decide that you are doing something with Harry, but that I am, in turn, trying to steal you from him, on the basis of two LJ conversations and an encounter in the library, AND keep me from seeing my actual boyfriend. His abilities are limitless.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-05-26 07:04 pm UTC

Oh, well that's just brilliant, isn't it?

(parent)

seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 07:10 pm UTC

Tell me about it. Just ignore his ideas. We all do. We don't know where he gets them.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-05-26 06:33 pm UTC

What are you talking about, Ron? And you skipped practise yesterday, remember?

(parent)
knight_to_h3 @ 2003-05-26 06:35 pm UTC

I told you I was helping Dean with his art, Harry! You know I'll never skip practise for nothing and you've been busy too!

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-05-26 06:37 pm UTC

I don't have a boyfriend, Ron!

(parent)

knight_to_h3 @ 2003-05-26 06:40 pm UTC

What's Malfoy then?!

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-05-26 06:41 pm UTC

He's not anything! STOP IT.

(parent)
knight_to_h3 @ 2003-05-26 06:45 pm UTC

Stop WHAT?!

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-05-26 06:58 pm UTC

Stop saying he's my boyfriend because he's not. He's dating Pansy, remember? I don't have a boyfriend. I don't want a boyfriend. If I had one, it wouldn't be Malfoy anyway, okay?

I'M TALKING ABOUT SOME WARPED LITTLE DELUSION THAT SINCE THE FACT THAT POTTER HAS GOT IT INTO HIS HEAD THAT HE FANCIES ME, YOU'VE BEEN ACTING AS THOUGH THIS MEANS SOMETHING. WHAT WAS YOUR BLOODY JOURNAL ENTRY ABOUT? 'IT'S NOT FAIR WHAT YOU HAVE'? YOU CAN'T JUST DECIDE THAT I HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH POTTER JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE A FUCKING IDIOT.

(parent)
knight_to_h3 @ 2003-05-26 07:04 pm UTC

LISTEN HERE MALFOY, I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR FUCKING PROBLEM IS BUT IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY I'M NOT THE BLOODY ONE WHO WAS HANGING OUT WITH HARRY ALL THE TIME FOR THE ASTRONOMY PROJECT AND WHO ELSE CAN HE BE MEETING AT NIGHT?? FILCH?? I BLOODY THINK NOT!! IT'S NOT MY FAULT HARRY HAS BAD TASTE IN BOYS BUT I WAS RIGHT THAT YOU'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR HIM!! WILL YOU BLOODY STOP REPLYING NOW?!

Re:

That's not the point!

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-05-26 06:11 pm UTC

Why did Potter buy new clothes? Since when does Potter buy clothes? The crew neck, I suppose, looked natural enough, but otherwise Potter now looks as though he has just bought new clothes. It isn't Potter.

seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 06:16 pm UTC

Harry bought new clothes because the ones he had don't fit, and I think he looks just fine. He was wearing jumpers and jeans before, and he's wearing jumpers and jeans now. I don't see the vast difference. Please enlighten me.

And yes, it was his idea. He approached ME. I do not force things on others.

Anyway, wasn't it you who said he should wear something other than black, gray, burgundy or green? Make up your sodding mind, Malfoy.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-05-26 06:18 pm UTC

Should theoretically, yes, but Potter's clothes are Potter's clothes and therefore are what he should wear. They suit him.

(parent)
seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 06:21 pm UTC

Are you so much a creature of habit that you cannot accept a really very small change in someone else's wardrobe? Eventually he would have had to buy new clothes. Be glad it was me taking him out and not his godfather, or he'd be clad head to toe in leather. Which is find for a DADA professor, but not so much for Harry, I don't think.

If you don't like it, take him shopping yourself. I daresay the clothes we picked out suited him perfectly fine.

(parent)
potterstinks @ 2003-05-26 06:23 pm UTC

It's not the clothes themselves. The colours are obviously well chosen and not too redundant. It's that Potter looked perfectly fine in his other clothes.

(parent)

knight_to_h3 @ 2003-05-26 06:25 pm UTC

I agree!

(parent)
seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 06:30 pm UTC

Whatever, Ron. Harry asked me to go shopping with him. He was buying new clothes anyway. No one said he didn't look perfectly fine before, just that he could look better.

And before you say it, no, that does NOT mean red and green flannel waistcoats, unless he has taken up deer stalking.

(parent)
seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 06:27 pm UTC

Well, Malfoy, I'm sure he will continue to wear those other clothes, so you will still see them. We neither of us said he looked bad, only that he could look better. It isn't as though he's tossing out his other clothes.

And anyway, most of the time he's wearing his uniform, so there isn't much room for change. It's five shirts and three pairs trousers, Malfoy, not a trousseau.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-05-26 07:00 pm UTC

Seamus, can you delete those comments please?

seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 07:07 pm UTC

All set. Let me know if there are any others.

(parent)
just_harry @ 2003-05-26 07:10 pm UTC

Thanks. I guess there really isn't much of a point, anyway. Thanks, though.

seamus_f @ 2003-05-26 07:17 pm UTC

Harry, of course, anytime. If I had known . . .

Anyway, I'm around, yeah?
