Ha! Holidays!
I am still smiling, yes, which I know irritates Malfoy but there are only twelve things that don't so I really don't care. I'm off to my ancestral home full of family and friends, a place where I belong, and I cannot wait.
December was a pretty lousy month all the way round, wasn't it? I had what Ron had taken to calling "Seamus' List O'Woe" but since then things have changed so completely. Most importantly, Lupin is found and recovering, which means that Harry isn't wandering around half here and Ron and Hermione aren't scared and trying to support him and certain other people are back to their usual, grouchy selves.
The whole Charlie thing doesn't matter as much as it seemed to--I think it was just that surprise on top of everything else. And some other people seem to be finally seeing the real meaning of their choices. Dunno how I really feel about that; being bemused feels mean but also true, and would show that I've really left all that behind, but I'm not sure I actually feel that way. Well, I'll work it out over the hols, I'm sure.
