Well, we lost.
Now Morgan's carving Cho-shaped voodoo dolls.

Morgan takes Quidditch very seriously. He and everyone else have decided that Cho doesn't. The match was actually kind of interesting, with Malfoy playing seeker and beater. People would've objected I suppose, as it's technically against the rules, but it's not really like Malfoy is a horrible threat as beater. Millicent Bulstrode did most of the work and Malfoy flew around dodging bludgers. Cho was really off her game, though. Everyone was waiting for Malfoy to hit himself with his bat. Bulstrode kept hovering around him though.

Anyway, it was Slytherin 60 and Ravenclaw 50, so Malfoy threw his bat at Bulstrode and a bludger smashed his kneecap to pieces. It was really rather ugly sounding, but I think that was the bludger. Then he spun off and smashed into Cho and she fell off her broom. I don't think she got too badly hurt; just banged up. Malfoy caught the Snitch and then fell on the ground as well. Bulstrode threw a bat at Stewart, so I went down to see how he was. Stewart was fine, but Malfoy's knee must have really ripped open because there was quite a lot of blood and his knee looked kind of gross. Bulstrode yanked his robes and trousers up so we all had to look at his, well, grotesque knee. He was groaning quite a bit but I'm really not surprised. I can't say I wouldn't have been.

Cho's in hospital now, but she's up and talking so David and Caitlin are saying she should have taken a better fall if she was going to muck up the game just because she's not interested in Quidditch anymore. Stewart had to get his head checked after the bat Bulstrode threw, so Morgan and I went with him and saw Cho there. Malfoy was there as well, but I suppose he passed out eventually as he was a bit unconscious.

In prettier news, Padma made me a bracelet. Terry is seemingly envious.

Please don't be so vociferous in your excitement next time, Ms Turpin. For a moment there I very nearly thought I spotted a personality on you and was alarmed.

turpinol @ 2003-06-08 12:51 pm UTC

Well, that sounds fair.

Hi, Lisa. I'm sorry you guys lost, even though it's probably not really a big deal to you. Are Cho and Stewart and everyone okay?

turpinol @ 2003-06-08 11:41 pm UTC

Well, Harry, that's a good question. I am glad we have become such close friends that you are checking in with me in your absence. If I had known I would have sent postcards. Cho is fine, though a pariah, and Stewart blames his youth. I yearn for simpler times.

I couldn't figure the game out from anyone else's posts. I didn't know you followed Quidditch at all. Is everyone else okay, too?

My friend Morgan is a chaser for Ravenclaw, so I have to go to all our matches to be supportive and what have you. Then he makes me go to some of the other matches along with him. Usually I just read and glance at the pitch now and again.

Let's see. David was sans injury, so he's fine, and the same goes for Steven, Caitlin and Kim. Morgan got a hangnail yesterday, but we're all hoping he'll pull through.

Terry is well due to the fact that he continues to have hip bones, Padma is decent, Mandy is busy with revision and Kevin is coming down with a cold.

Draco Malfoy remains in hospital. It is dire. Amputation, possible prosthetics. No, not really. I honestly don't know, other than that he is still in hospital.

That's awful about Morgan. Does he want flowers, or is there a charity he'd rather we sent donations to instead?

Malfoy's still in hospital? That seems like a really long time for him to be there. His knee must have been hurt pretty badly. Does anyone know exactly what happened to it?

Morgan is altruistic. Giving the donations directly to me would be fine.

A ball of iron smashed his kneecap, Har-Pot. There's not really much to report there. Some torn cartilage, maybe. It is likely he is dying.

You know, I really think that Lis-Tur is worse than Har-Pot.

Remember the time we and our band of thieves broke into the Merry Wanderer and you knocked over that lantern? Good times. We have shared so many of them together, [info]just_harry.

I think you're thinking of someone else.

Don't hate the player, Harry. Hate the game.

No, lots of people get me mixed up with [info]a_slytherin. Don't feel bad. It's not like you're the first one or anything.

Terry is well due to the fact that he continues to have hip bones.

I'm touched that you've noticed.

And: I am just fine, thank you for asking.

I knew Terry would be eyeing it! Should I have made him one as well? I'm glad you liked it though.

Padma

It is really quite lovely. Terry, though, would probably choke on the small pieces.

I know how distracted he gets by shiny objects. Perhaps a bracelet made of sweets?

turpinol @ 2003-06-09 02:05 am UTC

I really think Terry is more of a gold heart-shaped locket type.

(parent)
artistic_flower @ 2003-06-09 02:20 am UTC

Gold. Well, I don't have gold. I have this that I made for... well, it doesn't matter. It holds two pictures :)

Ha ha ha! It is so Terry.

Now, Padma. I am faced with a serious problem here. Who did you make this for?

(parent)
boot_boy @ 2003-06-09 11:56 am UTC

I was wondering that myself.

I am somewhat insulted I did not get a bracelet. Although shoddy jewlery makes me break out in a rash. I can only wear silver.

I remain certain that if she did not want us to wonder and ask, she would have deleted "I made it for..."
