I still don't know who the Head Boy is.
When I got on the Hogwarts Express, I already knew what my duties were, since they'd been clearly outlined in my Hogwarts letter; the Head Boy and Girl have a lot to do on the train, and I assumed that I didn't see him because of that. However, it's been an entire week now, and I still haven't managed to pin down the Head Boy. Every time I ask a professor, they say he must be around somewhere. Yes, he must, mustn't he? Yet there has been little sign of his existence.
Anyway. Morgan Mullarkey's been made captain of the Ravenclaw team since Roger Davies left, and to honour this great prestige he carried a Quaffle to breakfast for three days straight before he finally dropped it into Orla Quirke's porridge and got an earful; an earful of porridge, I mean. Presently I find myself hoping he breaks his glasses. Even though he would be able to fix them, of course, it would satisfy me just the same. We were working on our Charms essays in the library with Caitlin and I happened to glance over at Morgan's to see how far he'd got. What did I see? A list of potential Seekers to replace Cho Chang. That is not all, though. Somehow, my name made the list. Not because he thought this was something I would like to do. No, not at all. Because I happened to be sitting next to him at the time. I know this because I asked.
Miraculously, Morgan was surprised when I stole his hat.
The first Hogsmeade weekend is 11 October. I'd like to go look for some violet hairpins and pink flamingo feathers, but Morgan, David and Stewart are going to Wimbourne that day to see the Arrows and the Wasps, so I thought I'd spend the day burning effigies instead. What to do, what to do.
I hate Quidditch season.

Maybe the Head Boy's trying to be quiet like so he can catch us doing things without us knowing he was there.

I'm not sure what it says about me that I'm considering this an actual possibility.
