wehaveseven: No subject.

On last Sunday which is Mothers Day in some places I went to St Mungo's by myself and spent the day with Charlie. His hair was getting long and he needed a haircut so I cut his hair for him and I sat. I kept talking to him and, expecting him to talk back, you know his eyes were open so I thought he should hear me but no.

It's strange at the Burrow, it's just Arthur and Fred and me. It is more than there was before really because the twins were at their flat and Ron and Ginny were at school and Percy was in his silly flat and Charlie was in Romania and Bill was in Egypt so it was just Arthur and me and now it's us and Fred. I don't know what Fred does all day. Bill went back to Egypt a bit after the children went back to Hogwarts, Percy works all the time. I wish the both of them would not work and would come home and it is wrong of me to say that because I was always so proud of Bill, and of Percy for working so hard and now I don't want them to work at all and it's rude but I don't. Bill's work is dangerous and I don't like Arthur and Percy working in the Ministry anymore. I wish I'd never pressured the twins to work there because it's dangerous.

Last month was St George's day I almost forgot. I know no one really celebrates it but I always like to tell George it's his day too. They hate sharing a birthday you know, I imagine it would be strange. My birthday's this week. One of those things you forget, if it was a snake it would've bit me, I always forget until it's right on top of me. You don't do much for your birthday when you get old. I just like to spend it with my family but ours got killed. And it's the second time you know, and these things always happen but you don't get used to them. I miss George so much, and I don't know what to say to Fred I wish I could say I understand and I do and I don't because I have never had twins but I miss my brothers too and I miss George too and I don't think he'd want me to coddle him anyway, Fred isn't like that. I don't understand why Percy doesn't come home and why he didn't come for Ginny's birthday and why he doesn't talk about anything and it makes me feel wrong and stupid and large.

I wish we could do something as a family, I think we made a right mess of Ginny's birthday. Not that it could have been good but still. She looked so pretty in her new robes, I don't think she wanted me to make her wear them but they looked so lovely and she's seventeen now so she's an adult I suppose, all of my children are grown up now. I didn't realise how old she was, I mean I knew in years but until she turned seventeen I didn't realise that she was getting so grown up if, you know what I mean by that.

Money isn't so tight anymore. I bought Ron and Ginny new cauldrons, too late I suppose but I sent them anyway.

My birthday was as good as it could be, I had lovely robes and a tomato cake. Mother's Day sounds awful though.

I miss George too, Mum, and Charlie, and I miss Fred and you and Dad. I wish I were home so I could be with you and Fred, it feels silly being here at school pretending to laugh and be stressed out over studies with people. Do you know Ron's taken up residence in the library? He's spent three nights there in the past week. It's mad but Hermione's loving it, I think.

I've needed a new cauldron.

What is your brother doing?

You should be at school worrying about your exams normally, Ginny there isn't much to do here but polish the utensils and wash the dishes. And you've won your Quidditch match and that is good. You can't just put your life on hold princess. Do you need anything else???
