Current mood: tired

The cat's run off and had kittens again and now we've a whole lot of them living out in the garden under a hedge and SOMEONE used half the milk to feed them. I don't know who that cat thinks she is but I've not got the milk to spare to feed its family and mine and WHY CANT THE KITTENS' FATHER TAKE THEM FOR AWHILE I just don't know. Of course they're lovely kittens really and so adorable and they fit right in the palm of your hand so they might as well come inside if theyre already living in the yard....yes I think I"ll go bring them inside right after I finish up here cleaning the kitchen that Ronald has DESTROYED.

I don't know what that boy was doing but every pot and pan I own is stuffed in the broom cupboard AS THOUGH I WOULDN'T NOTICE, every single one of them dirtied, what could he possibly be doing? WHere did the melon baller come into it, Ronald?

I've just been to the Lovegoods' and borrowed milk to replace the milk someone gave to the kittens and Mr Lovegood was certainly more normal in person than I expected....mind, his wife was a sharp woman, very witty, came round every once in awhile for a bit of tea and gossip but I've never actually met him before. Come to think his wife was always a bit odd, asking me if I'd been to Atlantis....but I won't speak ill of the dead and I always enjoyed her company and I don't care if the whole of Ottery St Catchpole thinks otherwise. Mr Lovegood as I said was more normal than I expected, not that I expected a beast of some sort, but he wasn't quite so excentric as I'd taken to figure. Very generous also, he said we were welcome to any milk of theirs whenever I needed it, they have their own cow, I understand. I think Arthur and I ought to invest in a cow but knowing him he'd probably come back with an eclectric cow that plugs in the wall when we dont have eclectricky.

Harry dear its your birthday today so I knitted you a hat....I'm afraid I got a bit distracted in my knitting so now it's really more of a very long stocking cap but I've sent it along anyway and I hope you like it and I want to see you soon and make sure your face isn't growing long over the hols.

I was wondering, though, are we all going to be expected to brnig gifts for Professor Dumbledore. Is one gift from one family all right??

Oh no! Professor Dumbledore! What am I going to give him?! I suppose I might as well give away the other ear since it's rather silly to have one

I was thinking we could give Albus one of the kittens! Depends on what you think, love, but do think about it.

I called them Staple, Clip, Fridge, Toaster, Plug and Circut, I hope you don't mind but they seem to respond to their names anyway so I thought why not!

Sorry I'm not home but I've got something to sort out and then maybe a spot of good news, love.

wehaveseven @ 2003-08-01 02:48 am UTC

Oh, Arthur what a perfectly lovely idea! Perhaps we can give him the one named Clip!

Clip seems to be a bit of an odd man out, I'd be thinking he's a wonderful choice, love. Best let the others know to say their fond farewells!
