O.O
Music: Piss it All Away - Puddle of Mudd
I'd been wondering about Colin. Poor lad.
BTW, I can't remember, does his punishment continue when he returns to Hogwarts or did it end with the end of term?

Neither can he.

Now that's funny! XD
Here's Colin's post about it. I don't know if there are others (i.e. from professors and such), but they'd be on or after June 14th.

Oh! I thought you were talking about something else. It sounded so dire that I was certain that something worse had happened to him that I had forgotten about (Colin was, of course, exaggerating about the room. You'd think he'd be more grateful).
You'll see what happens with that. And with Colin in general.

Looking forward to it! :D

Yay!! I'm so happy Colin's back! But also wah, because poor Colin. I'd love to hear how he's been coping this summer, though I don't know if he'd post about it. Maybe Lavender and Ginny will say hello. Can't wait to see how he develops this year.

I love Colin. :))
I wonder who sent the letter? I had immediately thought Dumbledore, seeing as how he'd been sending Howlers to the Professors to get them to update more often. But I don't see him as reminding a student on holidays or inquiring to "if they were all right." Hmm...

It could have been from one of Soblessa's friends. That was my first thought, but I really don't know if guessing is all that worthwhile at the moment, we will probably just have to wait and see.
I can't see that it would be anyone overly involved with other affairs (those worried about Harry being missing, the Slytherins for other reasons) so it does elimate a lot of possibilities

Obvious candidates for the note: Ginny, since she's the only one who still seems to be friendly towards him; Pansy, since tries to be friendly with *everyone;* or maybe Justin or Ernie, since Colin was going through his I-want-to-be-a-Hufflepuff stage.
Ha! What if it was Goyle? Colin did give him a dictionary at one point, or am I mis-remembering things? Of course if it was Goyle, it would have been obvious since the note would have been full of spelling errors. :)

I wondered about Ginny too but thought she'd have signed her name. Maybe Lavender? Though she'd probably have signed her name too. It's fascinating to wonder.

I miss Colin. He's nuts, but he's brilliantly nuts. He's smart, and he does raw, desperate hurt better and more articulately than anybody. For some reason, his reply to a nasty attack by Ron (on the Martin Miggs thread) sticks in my mind: "Not enough people tell you how horrible you are." He's easy to disagree with -- sometimes violently -- but he always seems to be coming from some place that's emotionally perfectly clear and authentic.
Well, I can't say anything in under 100 words, I guess. But to cut it short: Welcome back, Colin!
