They have a great spin on things even if not central characters.

Really? I think he pisses me off in a good way. I also think that he gives a good antidote for all of the H/D. I like how the Hufflepuffs are such a close knit group, and I like seeing how Ernie tends to bring that out in his posts.

Ernie/Elise OTP

Out of curiousity, why don't you like him. Is it an always-thing, or is it just his post? Did it bother you when PS made the crack about St Mungos?

I love the Hufflepuffs, passionately. And I think beneath the comical element a lot of people read into it they make really excellent points. They continually bring to the surface the rumors that really are going on. Just as people suspected HP of being Heir of Slytherin, these are real discussions in the halls of Hogwarts.

I think that even when there is an air of callousness they're things that are MUCH better said in a public forum than whispered in the halls. :/

They are such a mob though. As in torches and pitchforks. Just a wierd kind of chorus that comments incessantly without ever remotely getting it. (*mumbles incoherently about parallels with nraged*). They are hugely fun, though.

I love the way Turpin is sort of there, in the midst of the madness, as a voice of reason. Poor Lisa. It is, indeed, hard to recover from decapitation.

Oh, Ernest, Harry Potter doesn't need you to do this now. Anyway, Professor Lupin had his heart broken by a curse and spent the past fortnight withering away in a tower with creeping ivy that just got thicker and thicker. I heard the Aurors had to take the tower apart brick by brick.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. REMUS HAS TURNED INTO A FAIRY-TALE PRINCESS! HAHAHAHAHA. oh, that's rich.

Even funnier is Ernie's categoric response of "you can't expect me to believe *that*". Haha.

And I love Lisa.

I'm giggling way too much at this comment.
