It's a bit of a dilemma for me, actually.

For Boot:
1. Boot wears eyeliner. I have difficulty resisting a boy in makeup.

I'm rather torn between the two myself. I adore Terry, but then, I adore Draco as well. This is so difficult. I have to agree with kat99999 on the make-up bit, it is so very hard for me to resist a man in make-up, not to mention a writer of poems, goth, and so manly to boot! (alas, I could not help myself) However, then there is Draco. So very difficult to choose, so stricken am I that I would have to make a choice.

Eh, officially, I would have to lay my money on Boot, but much of my support goes to Draco. Poor Draco seems so burnt out already. How to choose between two such wonderfully snarky boys? I'm so torn. There's the whole h/c if PS looses J_H can make it all better angle, but then Draco has had such a shitty time of it lately I'd hate to see him loose. He needs to win something. But then if he wins all the Boot supporters will be angry with him again like with the detentions (more so I'd imagine than the Draco supporters would be angry at Boot) and the last thing PS needs is more flack from Colin. But it is Draco, can't resist Draco, especially with all those lovely pictures he keeps coming up with. Yup, Draco it is (though I wouldn't mind seeing him in eyeliner).

But what I'd really like to see is J_H's reaction to all this. Will he finally voice his true feelings or maybe jump in if Sir Cardogan isn't quite up to snuff? I sure hope so. Saturday seems such a long way away.

Boot, I think. It's not that I like him better than Draco, they're both absolutely hilarious, but that I think Draco needs to be taken down a few pegs. Yes, I know he's already pretty bitter, but I don't think it's as angsty as it could get. Yes, there's the possible hurt-comfort option featuring just_harry, but I'm not really depending on that. I don't think that Terry could do anything devastating either. I just think that a minor defeat at Terry's hands might be enough to ground Draco, to really make him examine himself past all the sarcasm and avoidance. That that's what he needs. Actually, now that I think of it, I think it'd work even better if Draco beats the drunk-on-purple-beans Boot and then Dean stepped up and beat him. Because I don't have too much faith in Boot winning, but I think that Dean really has the cool anger (not crazed like Colin's) and personal motives (not all poncy in defense of M.B. like Boot) to deal Draco a real blow.

Either that, or Draco and Terry Stupefy each other in the first minute and it all comes down to the riveting battle of Thomas vs. Cadogan. :)

Another possible take on this is to ask -- not, who would you support, but who would you lay odds on? Boot's challenge seems to have welled up out of some gorgeous, theater-of-the-mind stoner haze, and your professional oddsmaker has to wonder how his wand-to-hex coordination is holding up after all those purple beans. PS, on the other hand, comes to the whole encounter with a pure, clearheaded rage, and a massive chip on his shoulder, a desperate need to make up for recent humiliations. I'd expect a better fight from the person who had more at stake -- and that's PS, I think.
