Another Poll for T-Shirts
Mood: calm

Okay, well. I thought it would be a good idea to do another poll because I feel more organized with polls. This will be the last T-shirt related thing I do for this week, because I'm leaving for St Louis Thursday and may not have access to a computer until my return the next week.

This poll is specifically for the N_A memorable quotes, since that was the most popular choice.

This is not to say that N_A memorable quotes will be the only merchandise option. This is only to say that N_A memorable quotes merchandise still needs quotes that the majority can agree on. Does this make sense?

Poll #314355 N_A Memorable Quotes
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All. Participants: 111

Choose 1-3 of your favorite quotes.

View Answers
Goyle's Insult-a-Slug Day

Shiny and other shiny related bits

In your FISH, mofo!
3(2.7%)

4(3.6%)
M.B. is God.
7(6.4%)

In order of their popularity, the last poll resulted:

I did not include Goyle's Insult a Slug Day or Hufflepuff Paranoia, because upon reflection those seemed to fit more in the Various N_A memorable quotes category.

The majority vote concerning the shop was:

Do not limit to T-shirts, but do not have more than one shop.

Also, I've no idea if CafePress does any other colors for their shirts. Er, there were a lot of volunteers to help with the graphics (_kissyfish, daisy_drabbles, ungemmed, and you may all want to talk to each other about that) but did anyone volunteer to actually run the shop? Like, is there anyone with experience with CafePress willing to do it?

Will someone explain the "I Survived August/April/June" thing to me?

lazy_daze @ June 29 2004, 14:59:24 UTC

Well, August was the August of Angst because all relationships went to pot and stuff, April was the fist DE attack with George and Charlie :( and, well, June. All v. ansty months that we have survived :)

I have been looking for favourite quotes, do I remember that there was something like a "historic alley" where I could look for historical things? Could somebody point me there?
Ta!

Er, came*

-Andrew, who's still apparently ill enough to make a stupid typing error and not notice it before posting. :P

Better than the flour used to make the bread that would be one day be day sliced, even! :P <3

portkey @ June 29 2004, 15:20:54 UTC

Better than the bag that would hold the flour to make it possible to use it for the bread that would one day be sliced by the knife!

...

Okay, I'm stretching.

(parent)

lazy_daze @ June 29 2004, 15:26:57 UTC

Better than the tree which was made into the pulp that formed the paper that made up the bag that the flour was held in and used to create the bread that would one day be sliced.

You can never stretch too far :D :D it's like the house that Jack built, only with bread.

I put 'flower' instead of 'flour' first o_o evidently the combined brain-fry of end of exams, UL18 and recent NA had taken its toll.

I think we should have more than one shop :( I don't want to have to choose just ONE design, I want, like, memorable quotes and a current mood one and 'I survived' and all sorts :(

(parent)

ginger_slam @ June 29 2004, 15:26:38 UTC

I thought that even if you had one shop you could still have more than one design. That was my understanding. With one design per shop, I think that just meant you could have all of the items dedicated to one design, whereas with the one shop you have to choose what designs go on what item.

Hm. Did that make sense or was that just rambling? I don't know if I came across as coherent enough.

(parent)

lazy_daze @ June 29 2004, 15:30:01 UTC

I don't know anything about Cafepress :D - from what I understood when this was raised in wibblechat was that one design per shop, but it is entirely possible that I got that wrong :D although I would like multiple items too - like a current mood: enraged T-Shirt, 'I survived' mug, M.B is God mousemat, Google it Sirius baseball cap* :D :D the list goes on :P

*not sure if I'd actually wear that...:P

(parent)

wedneswolf @ June 30 2004, 02:25:28 UTC

I've run a cafepress shop, once upon a time. :D You can have multiple designs per shop, but in each shop only one design per item. For instance, to use your examples, if there was only one shop and you wanted the t-shirt to say "mood: enraged" and the cap to say "google it sirius" there would be no problem. But then no one could get a "google it sirius" t-shirt or a "mood: enraged" cap! This is why there should be one design per shop, and multiple shops so that each quote/slogan/whatever can appear on every item available.

A clarification on my answer: the Remus quote is from here, and the drunken!Sevvie comment is from what I still consider the most hilarious two posts in NA history.

(Heh. I miss characters quoting Shakespeare (and Buffy, and anything else) back and forth.)

Was so excited over the poll that I forgot to put my own suggestion in >.<

I would love to see anything from the Veritaserum episode. Especially "My mother was a Hufflepuff" or "I want a kitten."

Sorry to sound completely out of it, but what was the "(Sorry, Harry) comment"? Was it the screened comment?

(parent)

divinelight @ June 30 2004, 01:37:48 UTC

Seamus said Draco was Harry's boyfriend, then deleted the comment and changed the words "his boyfriend" to "(Sorry, Harry)".

At least, that's what I believe happened. I missed the "his boyfriend" thing.

Thanks! I'm actually remembering it now, so thanks for the memory jog. XD

::looks at own response::

Except, we can't actually use, "Google it, Sirius," can we? Since it involves not only a character name but a corporate one. Alas.

Legal people? Is this right?

Maybe, "Did you google it, Looshie?" from here?
