The beginning of term has always been significant for me.
When I was younger, I dreaded the end of the summer holidays, because it meant the end of my freedom. When I got older, and made friends at school, I looked forward to seeing them again. When I got older yet, I was fascinated by the new things I had the potential to learn.
Now, as a teacher, I see the beginning of term in a new light.
I have many ideas for the upcoming year. I intend, with Professor McGonagall's permission of course, to repeat the Animagus curriculum. With a few changes. We all learn from our mistakes. I also have ideas that stem from my research on memory charms, and some new ways to defend against them. I believe this is an underrepresented area of study.
The past year has been extremely eventful, with many good points and some bad. I regret many things, but mostly the people I've hurt by my thoughtlessness. I hope the next year will bring everyone nothing but happiness.
Harry, I'm certain you don't care, but I am happy you've been enjoying yourself, and the concert sounds brilliant. You deserve it.

Perfect. Shall I meet you there or are you brave enough to ride on my bike?

I am indeed brave enough. In fact now I am quite excited.

I'm impressed. Meet you in the courtyard in twenty minutes?

There is a book in the library on Occlumency that has a segment about Memory Charms. You ought to look at it. I can't recall the title but I'm certain Madame Pince would know.
I also have the same hope for the coming year myself. I see that you've found a friend. That's good. Friends are very useful for things like having a laugh and giving advice when you want it. And even when you don't.
Be well. See you on Monday, I suppose.
