(no title)

So how, exactly, was Harry involved in the duel?

From Sirius: The duel was ridiculous. I understand that Remus felt he had to, but he just endangered himself. Harry brought him to me, and together we took him to the hospital wing. We've been here ever since.

And from Remus: Problems cannot be solved by fighting, or duels, or playing pranks on one another. I am old enough to know this by now, however yesterday I forgot myself and endangered not only myself but someone who I care about very much (though I didn't know it at the time - you and I are going to have words, later, boy).

He didn't know it at the time? So Harry was probably still wearing his invisibility cloak when he did whatever it was. But did he simply step in the way of a hex meant for Remus, or was it something else? Obviously, he ended up in better shape than Remsu, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Perhaps taking Remus away from the Manor, while Lucius was distracted by his shinyness, was saving his life.

I thought something like that too, that he saved him by bringing him to Sirius. Lupin might still think he'd endangered his life by bringing him out to the Manor.

Dean and Vector posted, Draco's been running about London by himself all day. Oh dear, lol.

maybe harry stepped in as a second when Remus got injured?

I don't think Remus would ever allow that!

I don't think Remus knew about it. If Harry was in his cloak, he probably saw the duel start. then, perhaps when Remus collapsed from an injury he took and lucius moved in to hurt him more seriously, harry de-cloaked and took up the duel in Remus's stead.

I don't really see Harry breaking Lucius's bones either, and someone probably would have said something if he had gotten involved as a second.

blue_lightning @ April 28 2003, 12:04:49 UTC never said harry broke lucius's bones

I'm sure Remus didn't fall at the first strike. They probably had a pretty heated match, and over the course of it both suffered injuries. But Lucius knows he didn't do anything wrong this time, so I think he must've been especially angry with this whole thing, and the moment Remus faltered, Lucius would've spared him no mercy. It would've been at this moment that Harry intervened, protecting Remus and then doing something to befuddle Lucius to the point that he could no longer duel. That's all I'm saying. He served in the capacity as "second" by merely saving Remus from serious injury and ending the duel.

Harry did not duel Lucius. He also had nothing to do with the incident regarding Lucius' hair.
