It almost seems like being back at the Manor for a couple of days has almost reversed whatever progress Narcissa made while living with Remus. Shiny stuff indeed.

Draco still has issues with her that won't be resolved anytime soon. He also sounded, at times, very much like his Sire.

This isn't what I would like to have seen from a woman who is trying to change, but I can't say I'm all that surprised. Change also comes slow, so I'm willing to give her some time.

Yes, I think the fact that she refused the martini was a positive sign, although I was hoping for more from her.

PS--I pity that dog of hers. Maybe she brought it back with her to the Estate and Sirius and Remus can adopt it.

Now, that is a cute mental picture. Giant Grim Sirius playing with the little puppy.

It's a weird read, isn't it! You feel like you've got whiplash going from the kinds of words thrown around this weekend and this scene. It's not that I can't reconcile Vicious!Homophobic!Draco! with Sensitive!Skin!Draco. But it's weird that this weekend's events were so based in reality and this is almost like "Airheads Revisited." I mean, a barrister??

Narcissa's right, though. The skin does know.

The puppy's name is Echo. Who knows the story of Narcissa the man-thing who loved only himself and Echo the nymph who loved him but couldn't have him.

I am now rather concerned for the puppy's health, safety, and well-being.

Meh, I think she'll get some sort of servant to look after it.

Wasted away to nothing, didn't she? It's so classic. Hope the house elves like pets!
