Just what is Lupin agreeing to do? And why has he decided so soon after Snape's outburst?

I think it's assumed to be a dangerous mission of some kind - and I have no idea how it's linked to the whole potion and Snape's freakout debacle, but it does seem to be - like something that happened amongst all that motivated him to accept the mission. But what? Was it something to do with what the problem with the potion was? Was it something someone said? I dunno. But I am dying with curiosity here :D!

maybe the mission requires him to leave Hogwarts and after Snape's outburst he does feel it would be good to spend some time away...
I can't see how the potion fuss could influence him, cause when he posted he didn't seem to know what it was about. gosh, I can't stand the uncertainty!!!!

Do you suppose he could be an envoy to the werewolves

"These sorts" definitely makes it sound like some kind of creature or person. We know 1. that Remus is specially qualified to deal with them, 2. that an awkward approach could result in the ambassador coming home "in a baggie," and 3. that they respond well to "empathy and being taken seriously."

Werewolves is an obvious choice -- but are they really organized out in the wild? I thought they were closely monitored by the Ministry, a kind of dependent population. It would also be fun to see what else NA might come up with. Zombies? Dementors? New-Age Muggles? #2 and 3 makes them sound like Malfoys.
