Phew! Her downcast icon is troubling though :( I wonder if there's more to went on. Or possibly it is in tribute to the Weasleys? She does seem quite sincere in her condolences - which I hope she is, it would be nice to see at least one Slytherin being genuinely sympathetic. She did always seem to have a soft spot for Weaselys, what with her various interactions with Arthur, Ron and Ginny.

She's such a contrast to MB. It's like if you add Pansy and MB and divide by 2 you get Draco and his total unconcern (in his entries at least).

I'm really looking forward to seeing how she's going to deal with the atmosphere in the school... she's always been the best one at hiding her feelings to be diplomatic, perhaps she will be able to keep from alienating all the griffindors the way Draco and MB have.

It does look genuine. Yes, Pansy has always seemed to fancy the Weasleys and she even pitched in with the Ron-napping to bring Molly back home. Hmmmm, and she's wanting to get PS and MB to herself.

*tentatively pencils Pansy in on the 'Good Guys' list*

Hee! You are so funny.

But, more seriously, I think that Pansy is a very ambitious girl. I don't know if she'll be able to negotiate a few years from her mother before she's forced into a marriage or the like, but if she were to I think she'd want to make something of herself. And on her own terms. I don't think she'd be happy as a DE wife/sympathizer.

Why was her mother so anxious about leaving England? Pansy has DE parents, no? So why would she be fleeing at signs of DE activity? Unless someone has a beef with the Parkinsons.

Or a beef with Pansy's obvious concern for the Weasleys...

Has anyone else noticed that Draco, Pansy and M.B. have all mentioned looking forward to seeing each other in their posts? It's like they're missing each other (which isn't too surprising, I guess), and feel the need to see each other.. possibly to discuss? I would expect Draco needs to vent somewhere.

Pansy seems rather... distant? formal? with Draco. She's not all over him the way she usually is. And her response to Draco's comment was strangely subdued.
