Be at Wherebooks today!

All right, since no one else has yet, I will take a crack at a quick update.

lupercus posts to the community about bad dreams of late, thoughts of the past and of the boiling war. "Except, we can go on. Go on, as we all have done, and let them that might try to destroy us know that this is not how it is going to be." Around the same time (if you haven't already seen it mentioned on the nraged thread) Remus has a rather morose discussion with a (comparatively) more optimistic Dean.

turpinol gives an update on her Easter hols and how life at Hogwarts has been affected by recent events. She also mentions in a comment to Remus that her parents will be going to the Diana Prevaleça book signing.

Speaking of which, ritaskeeter posts a clipping from the Prophet about the signing, making sure everyone is aware that she is the author of the article. I think we could have guessed. :D

goyle and crabbe complain about books. Apparently, making sense for any length of time is just too difficult:

Bugger this, it takes too long. I am going to go and eat some more fudge with Crabbers and we are going to the bookshop and that is final. I am sick and tired of spending my time here stuck reading out of a book 'cos no one can read my writing! Of course they can. I mean you are right now. Headache or no headache, Madam Malfoy, this takes too long your way. I shall try later
.

And now
potterstinks is commenting on several recent entries. Edited to add: Is it just me, or does this sound as though Narcissa may know of something sinister going down today at Hogsmeade?

It's Hogsmeade weekend, so I think I might go into the village and visit Gladrags. I realise that I am the only person who enjoys the Gladrags advert. It's a cross I have to bear alone.

I love Lisa.

It's very strange when the corridors are filled only with yourself and the ghosts.

:( That's such a sad line.

It does sound a little like she's warning him to stay away. *worried* Hopefully everything will be okay.

I wonder if Moody ever bought that book Diana wrote on the trials and tribulations of trunks. ;)

Mrs Malfoy's birthday on Mayday?

Perhaps Narcissa is actually Diana Prevaleca and doesn't want Draco around to give it away?

Now that you say it, it's so obvious!

I had thought about the same thing. Not particularly about Draco giving it away, but ever since Narcissa said that "every witch and wizard shall soon know" her name (and then proceeded to mention her about as obsessively as she was mentioning Hera Peligroso last year), I've been waiting to see if she'd come up again and there she is, signing books at Remus' shop.

Ergh, if it's not Narcissa under a pseudonym, I'm still suspicious that it's someone we know, and paranoid that her presence means only bad things. Of course, I say paranoid for a reason. I could be spooking at my own shadow. But it just seems there must be something...

Hera and Diana were both goddesses of childbirth (among other things). Peligroso is Spanish for "dangerous" and Prevaleça is (I think) Brazilian Portugeuse for "prevail". Hrm, my synapses are not making any useful connections for me right now, and I suppose I need to look back through old posts if I want to formulate a theory. Perhaps it's simply a matter of the same method being used to make up one name as another, but I refuse to let my guard down with this game.

andddddd she gave copies of one of "Dianas" books to all the hogwarts students during love your neighbor week!! so if she doesn't have some sort of hidden agenda / connection, I would be suprised!!
