The boy who used to be Potter's enemy. Draco, Harry's wonder ferret. The indescribably fine, off topic, Potter Stinks. Now have seen Harry for the hot ass... wait pardon?

Or maybe not, but I was bored. ^_^ *Twiddles Fingers* Have/Has are interchangeable according to preference.

(parent)

Well, that depends on the requirements for saying something truthfully. If I beleive something, and all the facts I know justify it, does that make me "truthfully say" it? What if it's true, but I don't beleive it, or I beleive a bunch of facts that contradict it? And then there's always the scepter or skepticism to deal with...

That's tautologically true. !(Ex)(CanSayTruthfully(x, "non_inferno did nothing kind for humanity") & !CanSayTruthfully(x, "non_inferno did nothing kind for humanity")) which is really just Distributed middle.

So what you're saying is... nothing.

You know, you could always speak in tautologies. Then you would never be wrong. It would make things far less interesting, admittedly, but we all must make sacrifices for your sake.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 2 2003, 13:49:47 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

Since when was I kind?

Well, we ALL need to make sacrifices. Though I suppose laziness has to win over spitefulness, in the end.

(parent)

non_inferno @ June 2 2003, 13:54:32 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

Good point.

Are you implying that the world does not revolve around me?

(parent)

notapipe @ June 2 2003, 14:00:10 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

Of course. I made it.

I was suggesting you are part of this world, regardless of who it revolves around (answer? Writer-Director Darren Aronofsky), and therefore since we all must make sacrifices, so must you. Next I was going to talk about the glorious virtue of work. But I was too lazy.

(parent)

non_inferno @ June 2 2003, 14:06:55 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

I could be typing this from the center of the sun, except that would be weird.

I do not feel like reading about the glorious virtue of work anyway.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 2 2003, 14:28:59 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

The sun is hot. It is so hot that everything on it is a gas: iron, copper, non_inferno, and many others.

What? Too lazy?

(parent)

non_inferno @ June 2 2003, 15:13:29 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

I guess it would do no good to tell you that I am a gas, as I have already told you that I am Tom Felton's disembodied head. And gases cannot type anyway.

Yeah, too lazy and slothful.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 2 2003, 15:24:40 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

Well, you could be a gaseous disembodied head of Tom Felton. And remember, apart from that little rigging thing I set up, disembodied heads cannot type either.

I would defenstrate you into a body of water, but I figure you already know how to swim.

(parent)

non_inferno @ June 2 2003, 15:38:58 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

I took that as a sign that disembodied heads really can type.

The water outside of the Baltimore aquarium is really polluted. I would probably die, so that's an option if you're worried about me swimming to safety.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 2 2003, 15:41:45 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

If I had server space I'd show the little contraption I designed that types using only gas pressure.

I was more worried about expending my precious energy on pushing someone out the window who wouldn't need it, but it's nice to know.

(parent)

non_inferno @ June 2 2003, 15:56:42 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

I am very curious about this contraption.

Please tell me in advance if you do decide to kill me. It will take so much effort to find a suitable window to be pushed out of. And then dying--that will be so exhausting.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 2 2003, 16:05:00 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

Perhaps I can explain it. There are five tubes, one facing up. four of them, facing towards a central arm are arranged in a cross formation, each of which pushing on, with pressure, moves the central arm forward, backwards, to the right or to the left. The fifth tube controls a little thing that will press down on the key. This is much harder than as a disemboded head, but one must do what one must do.

Sure. How much of a warning do you want?

(parent)

non_inferno @ June 2 2003, 17:02:39 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

Again, ingenious!

I'd like to write a will, but I've never written one before so I don't know how long it takes. Give me a warning of a day or so. I'll need to put post-it notes on all of my belongings saying who gets what once I'm dead. I will leave my country music collection to you. Also during this time I will have to save up some of my energy for my tragic death and find a good window. Maybe two days then.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 2 2003, 17:19:44 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

I'll give you three, just because I'm such a giving person. Though I doubt it'll be a problem, I really don't want to touch contaminated stuff like country music.

(parent)

non_inferno @ June 3 2003, 08:02:24 UTC Re: ph33r the epistemology

Barbie Girl is one of their BETTER songs. You haven't experienced pain until you've heard "Tarzan And Jane". No, it's not better, just different. It's probably much worse, in terms of musical quality, but in terms of my ability to savor it's suckiness, it's far better. Country is just bad, Aqua is an exquisite pain, like an MST3Ked movie, the Harry/Dead!James fic or a really great badfic.

I am a connoisseur.

In the sense that being thrown into a pit of scorpions is great, yeah, this is one great fic.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 3 2003, 22:58:27 UTC Re: In the heat of the night, we are having a siesta, we will dance until fiesta...

It's squick at it's finest. It must be admired for that, if nothing else. Plus, you now have a fool-proof method of ranking how disgusting something is, on a scale of 0 to 1 Harry/Dead!James's. It's been invaluable for me.

(parent)

non_inferno @ June 3 2003, 23:04:52 UTC Re: In the heat of the night, we are having a siesta, we will dance until fiesta...

Harry/Dead!James completely throws off any balance in the ship scale. Nothing sounds bad in comparison, not even Dumbledore ships. Not even Ron/Draco.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 3 2003, 23:14:15 UTC Re: In the heat of the night, we are having a siesta, we will dance until fiesta...

Dumbledore/Dead!Winky, though. That's still very wrong. So is Draco/Ginny. Also, Lucius/Harry. But this is wrong is mainly to piss a friend off.

(parent)

non_inferno @ June 3 2003, 23:21:38 UTC Re: In the heat of the night, we are having a siesta, we will dance until fiesta...

Any ship involving a rotting corpse is creepy. Harry/Dead!James is a powerful weapon and should be used wisely.

Draco/Ginny just shouldn't be used. Same with Lucius/Harry.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 3 2003, 23:34:22 UTC Re: In the heat of the night, we are having a siesta, we will dance until fiesta...

Well, even Dumbledore/JustDied!Winky is creepy, no matter how well preserved she is.

notapipe @ June 5 2003, 16:32:48 UTC No man is an island, but if you tie a bunch of dead guys together they make a pretty good raft

Well, Dumbledore/Winky in general is just wrong. It's het, for one thing.

This (Dark Side Of Light by Maya) has no corpses per se, but is creepier.

(parent)

non_inferno @ June 6 2003, 19:29:35 UTC Re: No man is an island, but if you tie a bunch of dead guys together they make a pretty good raft

Dark Side of Light is creepy, but Harry seems somewhat insane by the end and that makes it all better. I don't think it's creepier than dead people ships. Maybe I am prejudiced against corpses.

Wait, but Draco practically is a dead person in this. I don't know what I'm saying.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 6 2003, 20:04:31 UTC sure she's a little cold to the touch, but that doesn't bother me much, because the embalmer...

I think vegtables are creepier than corpses, if slightly less disgusting. Creepy and disgusting are not the same thing.

and I think here is where I back out. I'm not ps's player, so any further confirmation should be up to them.

like your idea of "pupils" being the missing p word, and "adventures" is a good subsitution for arguements as well!
from what i can piece together, those are the only 2 missing words still

I think the definite things so far are:

The Boy Who Used To Be Prect But Everyone ??D?? He Was Far Too Intimidating For The ??I?? ??F?? The Rest Of ??T?? ??P?? So Now Spends His Time Having ??A?? With Potter.

I'm pretty certain that D is 'decided' though....

(parent)

notapipe @ June 1 2003, 17:58:09 UTC The Canon so far

Almost right.

The Boy Who Used To Be Prefect But Everyone Decided He Was Far Too Indimidating For The Rest Of The P So Now He Spends His Free Time Having A With Potter

It's almost complete. My take?

P: People, Perverts, Prefects
A: Adventures, Arguments, Analsex, Is there an a word for cake?

(parent)

kat99999 @ June 1 2003, 18:06:06 UTC Re: The Canon so far

I think we got P to be 'pupils', was our speculation a little further down the thread. And the A, I think, is 'adventure'. It's gotta be, that's far too cute, heeh.

It's definately not 'arguments', and as much as I wish it were 'analsex', not likely. *brief sulk* An A word for cake? Hmm... you can buy Angel Cake, does that count? No? Eh well. ApplePie? Mm, warm apple pie. *laugh*

What about Astronomy?

The Boy Who Used To Be Prefect But Everyone Decided He Was Far Too Indimidating For The Rest Of The Pupils So Now He Spends His Free Time Having Astronomy With Potter?

Nah, You're right,
The Boy Who Used To Be Prefect But Everyone Decided He Was Far Too Indimidating For The Rest Of The Pupils So Now He Spends His Free Time Having Adventures With Potter
is better.

mimulus_arbutus @ June 1 2003, 15:00:08 UTC my theory, respectfully submitted

TBWUTBPBEDHWFTIFTROTPSNHSHFTHAWP
"the boy who used to be prefect but everyone decided he was far too intimidating for the rest of the pupils so now he spends his free time having arguments with potter"

also like akimbie's suggestion that it could be "having adventures with potter"

freak22 @ June 1 2003, 20:25:04 UTC ahem...

Potterstinks' player didn't want as much revealed as was, so we can't say anymore. We sort of forgot to ask how much we were allowed to tell.

Whoops! Well then, 100 points to the house of choice for Player(s) X for taking pity on us and helping when you could have just sat and laughed at our clueless asses.
