I'm thinking the NasAlley idea is really good. It'd be a specific way for NA fans to enjoy contributing.

There is both a mail address and PayPal account to donate through to NasAlley. If someone involved in it, or who could contact someone involved in it, could arrange so that if a donation is made with the specifics "for lupercus's cake server," it would be totaled up and posted separately. And then NA's goal would be to raise among ourselves the price of the cake server ($400?) by the wedding date (May 10th?). And of course the money would be kept by NasAlley, but we could all pride ourselves on having "bought" Remus the cake server.

I know that I hadn't actually consciously planned on donating to NasAlley, but just this idea has made me want to. I'm thinking that if NA fans were to do this, a lot more people would be aware. It's also just a really fun thing for this community to do together.
