The sad thing is...Dean started it. (Not to blame the victim here--Dean's the man.) The two of them would have probably been happy to fling silly lines to each other all night but Dean started throwing things and hitting them with tables and such and of course they had to get all dramatic and...well, the rest is history.

I was thinking this too, that the fighting had to escalate in order for Dean to get his full anger out. His stress has really been increasing lately, and he had to strike out somewhere. Though it did turn badly for him in the end, poor guy. :(
