It definitely seems like he wants something, doesn't it? Those two have one of the longest standing on-again-off-again relationships... probably ever. How exhausting. But I suppose it is mutually beneficial.

He must be after more than just cramp medicine though... what could it be? I can't really think of anything that Lucius would need to go through Narcissa to get... except perhaps to Draco. I can't imagine Draco trusts his father a whole lot at the moment. Hmmm. The schemes.

You're right. There's got to be something more to it.. OH! Sirius said Lucius might want soem form of revenge for him brushing him off at the party. Perhaps he is using Narcissa to get at Lupin? Or maybe Sirius himself. Although it would be more likely to strike at Lupin.

Lupin does seem more sympathetic to Narcissa than does Sirius, doesn't he? Now, would this be due to Sirius' 'relationship' with Lucius, in combination with Lupin's general disgust with him? (I would have used hate, but it seemed too strong. Lupin only gets really negative when Lucius and Siris get too flirty.)

But why would Lucius want to get at Lupin? So he can have Sirius to himself? Somehow, harming the fiance of the man you love doesn't seem to be a good idea to me. Hmmm. But somehow, I can't really put myself into Lucius's head. Perhaps this is a good thing.

I suspect Lucius will drift more towards the psychological manipulation of Lupin (Lucius DOES seem able to push his buttons rather well) in order to get back at Sirius for his slight. *shrugs* I dunno. I just never trust anyone with that tone of voice/text.

He could want Narcissa. She seems to have become much more attractive to him after standing up for herself and leaving him. Plus I'm sure he'd rather have things the way they were before, with Narcissa open only to his influences instead of also listening to Lupin et al. He may get some pleasure out of how well he can subdue her again after her "rebellion" by flattery and romance.
