The Politics of Food
Mood: amused

Lucius is not Enraged. While this post doesn't seem to have its normal bite, it isn't safe from the high-brow attitiude of its author.

Maybe he spent it all on his reply to Snape's post.

...

Tsk. Even for him, that's a low blow.

I read that too and had very similar thoughts.

Maybe all that travel to carnivals and fairs has lowered him to disgusting, crude humor.

Yes. The nasty Cho slur and the asscheek and pube remarks were unusually crude. Not the usual refined Lucius.

Interesting attitude here. He answered Narcissa's reply with something to the effect of "I'd still love you, even if you were as big as a house, you'll always be perfect to me", but then proceeds to give a laundry list of all the stuff she's eaten, after slamming the carnie-broads for their slovenly appearance.

All this, combined with the "Mother warned me", makes me wonder if he's embarking on some sort of "He-Man-Woman-Haters" phase? If so, why? Is he unhappy about the pregnancy? Does he think that Narcissa got knocked up to ensure that he won't leave her?

I'd find it more likely that he would knock her up to make sure that she didn't leave him again... did they have any particularly affectionate periods after she came back?

Although another explanation, perhaps, is that he is simply trying to draw her attention to the pregnancy through something that she is very unlikely to ignore - her changing appearance.

He also said Draco may visit Harry. Which seems odd to me, just a bit, but I'm not complaining in the least.

He writes: " I'm uncertain of your motives, Draco "
But WE are absolutely sure about his motives. Draco misses him sooooooo much! 8-)
And, hey I wanna read a trip-report!!!!!
