Seamus checks in
here's the story accorning to Seamus.

And here Penny posts her story.

Lisa posts here.

Fred and George have their say.

Justin is in a particularly dour mood.

And Mr. Weasley seems to be running purely on adrenaline at this point.

Lupin has posted too. It seems he can't find Sirius? but I Lisa said that he took off right after the attack, has anyone else heard form him since? I don't think he's listed as missing...

[EDIT] Attention everyone, Sirius is not missing... just helping out somewhere else, not need to panick[/EDIT]

Dean came by but he got rather frustrated with the inactivity so he quickly wandered off with Boot to places unknown

hmmm, very interesting, I wonder where they went. I was glad to hear that they all tried to remain calm, what good gryffindors they are!

(parent)

dragynville @ June 23 2003, 20:15:09 UTC

so we all went further down, to the storage room under the tower that Dean knew about.

*raises eyebrow*

(Maybe you should add Penny's post into the header?)

(parent)

theantimodel @ June 23 2003, 21:50:15 UTC

thanks, did it.

Yes, seems like Dean and Terry might have had some meetings there. I had noticed that comment of Seamus'.

(parent)

dragynville @ June 23 2003, 20:17:17 UTC

I have this horrible feeling that they're going to find everyone but Harry. ;_;

(parent)

doingfirst @ June 23 2003, 20:58:00 UTC

So do I. Though, I'm hoping that because Ron is making a big deal about Harry being missing, that it actually isn't that much of a big thing. If that makes sense.

Eee, I hope they find Harry soon.

(parent)

Anonymous @ June 23 2003, 21:28:48 UTC

I find it interesting that out of all the missing, Harry is one of the older and (therefore?) more powerful wizards. I see a couple of possibilities:

one: Harry is hurt and he can't leave, or

two: Harry is fine but he's unwilling to leave (I can just picture him with an entire class of 2nd year Hufflepuffs or 4th year Ravenclaws trying to keep them safe and calm till help arrives)

I'm also wondering if maybe Draco's gone to look for him too. After his shower, of course ;)

(parent)

vellum @ June 23 2003, 21:46:16 UTC

a saving people thing?

(parent)

Anonymous @ June 23 2003, 21:56:50 UTC

LOL, nah, a just_harry thing ;)

(parent)

dragynville @ June 23 2003, 22:27:49 UTC

Yes, that's what I was thinking too. Either he's..

1. badly hurt
2. protecting/taking care of the younger students
3. been abducted 0.0

(parent)

tiamet_nox @ June 23 2003, 23:03:47 UTC

Or maybe he saw whomever was involved in the attack and went after them. I could see Harry doing that. That whole hero complex he has^-^

(parent)

always_up_trees @ June 23 2003, 21:34:28 UTC

Or they will find him last of all, after a painfully long wait.

Horrible feelings galore.

(parent)

elessaria @ June 23 2003, 21:44:57 UTC

Indeed. :)

(parent)

always_up_trees @ June 23 2003, 21:49:16 UTC

Yes, indeed.

Horrible feelings from the moment I saw his name on the "Missing Persons" list.

(parent)

theantimodel @ June 23 2003, 21:53:09 UTC

oh me too, I wibbled like mad. I actually *gasped* out loud when I saw harry's name. I do not feel good about this. Oh and I second whomever said that they hope Draco went looking for harry, I certainly hope he did this. Although i think if he did end up finding him he'd be pissed off at turning out to be a hero. He'd probably just hold it against j_h *grins* Some people are just never happy.

(parent)

always_up_trees @ June 23 2003, 21:57:40 UTC

Especially if that person is Draco.

(parent)

blue_raven @ June 23 2003, 22:00:04 UTC

Perhaps he just needs some placating. Toffees, maybe?

(parent)

theantimodel @ June 23 2003, 22:04:28 UTC

yes, or cake ;). Although I can really picture a
potterstinks
petitemillicent rescue mission going down. Wouldn't we all love to see that?

(parent)

always_up_trees @ June 23 2003, 22:07:46 UTC

I vote for it. There is no better rescue mission than those two. Salvation and witty remarks should go hand in hand.

(parent)

zionsstarfish @ June 23 2003, 22:11:49 UTC

I vote for an M. B. / ps rescue mission too. May I suggest placating ps with Gryffindor ham?

(parent)

theantimodel @ June 23 2003, 22:13:20 UTC

May I suggest placating ps with Gryffindor ham?

omg. dirty, dirty thoughts. My, you are evil, aren't you?

(parent)

zionsstarfish @ June 23 2003, 22:32:33 UTC

LOL! Well, perhaps even a faint *promise* of said ham would be sufficient motivation for Draco to embark on a little rescue attempt...

*snickers in evil fashion*

dragynville @ June 23 2003, 22:28:33 UTC

Fabulous idea! :D

(parent)

merlion @ June 23 2003, 21:52:13 UTC

I keep thinking of Draco's 'hole.' But then, I have no idea where it is in relation to anywhere else. It's probably near Slytherin, in the dungeons and therefore irrelevant. But I figured I throw the thought out there.

(parent)

always_up_trees @ June 23 2003, 22:17:20 UTC

It seems as if Remus thinks the whole event was planned. By whom, I wonder? Death Eaters? Ministry conspiracy? It seems like he is warning Arthur not to disturb people at work.

(parent)

theantimodel @ June 23 2003, 22:40:33 UTC

plus, her idea that the attack we heard about earlier was a practice run on the apparition wards. Ingenious. And very frightening, Hogwarts is supposed to be the safest place in all of Britain, so for it to have been attacked, means some seriously powerful attackers.

Not to mention the fact that it was very planned out, so it seems that maybe it is a distraction. Oh, I hope they don't have Harry, but I feel like they probably do.

(parent)

hobaggins @ June 23 2003, 22:35:37 UTC

If it was abduction and they apparated in how would they get Harry out? Do you think people (other than Ron that is) are purposely trying to not draw attention to the fact that Harry is missing?

(parent)

always_up_trees @ June 23 2003, 22:38:29 UTC

It does seem that no one else is very upset about it. I mean, they are upset but they are not calling attention to the fact that it is suspicious.

(parent)

theantimodel @ June 23 2003, 22:42:39 UTC

why isn't Hermione freakiing out as much as Ron?

(parent)

always_up_trees @ June 23 2003, 22:44:30 UTC

Because she is Hermione? :)

(parent)

notapipe @ June 24 2003, 00:36:40 UTC

But WHY is she Hermoine? Have you ever wondered why Hermoine is Hermoine? Or for that matter, why Snape is Snape? How about why Harry is Harry? These are important questions of identity, social development and the way parents pick names, and I want answers. Now.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 24 2003, 00:41:54 UTC

No seriously, what kind of name is Hermoine? As far as I know, it's a freaking germanic tribe during roman times (cf Tacitus's Germania).

(parent)

notapipe @ June 24 2003, 00:52:58 UTC

Er... OR it's:

HERMIONE (f) Greek Mythology
Pronounced: her-MIE-o-nee
Derived from the name of the Greek god HERMES. Hermes was the Greek god of speed and good luck. In Greek myth Hermione was the daughter of Menelaus and Helen. This was also the name of the wife of Leontes in Shakespeare's play 'The Winter's Tale'.

Which makes sense, because Hermes is really smart. I feel stupid.

(parent)

hobaggins @ June 23 2003, 22:50:34 UTC

I think Hermione is too busy to be freaking out. She undoubtably has found herself as much work as she is physically capable of dealing with. She isn't as worried about Harry because she has a hundred other things to do, she's exhausted and Ron is freaking out enough for the both of them

(parent)

dragynville @ June 24 2003, 01:27:18 UTC

She's a prefect, so it's part of her job to keep things calm and orderly, be reassuring, etc.

(parent)

hobaggins @ June 23 2003, 22:45:58 UTC

As much as I can understand McGonagall's point that "Mr Potter is not the only student in this school" everyone understands that, unfortunately or not, the Wizarding World from time to time does revolve around Mr Potter. *wibble*

(parent)

dragynville @ June 23 2003, 22:42:59 UTC

They could practically walk away with that big of a diversion (parts of the castle blowing up or falling down around people's ears).

(parent)

always_up_trees @ June 23 2003, 22:50:17 UTC

Yeah. It's not like anyone would have seen them, as most all the students were inside the castle at the time.

(parent)

dragynville @ June 24 2003, 01:31:50 UTC

Yes and everyone would have been focused on the disaster site for some time. First just the actual shock of it, then afterwards either extricating themselves or extricating others.

(parent)

dragynville @ June 23 2003, 22:34:14 UTC

This plus Hermione saying the teachers were looking for DEs increases my fear that Harry may have been abducted. The destroyed wing would make quite a cover-up and an effective way to keep everyone else busy and scattered.

(parent)

theantimodel @ June 23 2003, 22:33:22 UTC

okay, this line: Harry'll be fine, mate, he's been through worse than this, hasn't he? Well, he possibly hasn't but I'm sure he'll be fine

Scares the bejeezus out of me. *wibble* what on earth has happened to Harry? It seems like from what we know of the boy, his first instict would be to go to where the trouble spot is, so it's quite likely that whatever went down, Harry was in the middle of it.

So we know from Lisa's report that Sirius took off right after the attack. Presumably to go fight/see what the heck was going on. But he's not listed as missing, this could mean that he was seen after that sometime in the past three days. So maybe he's really missing or maybe Lupin doesn't know where he is just for the moment and needs to talk. *hopes it's the second option*

This is almost tangental, but there is no better place for it. Lisa's response to Penelope's Moke the Wet Dugbug allegation is brilliant. Music shame is such a great thing. Though she really shouldn't be ALL that ashamed, since, well, she was 12 or 13 back then, and 12 and 13 year olds think Blink 182 is punk, so they really know nothing. She's repented, so it's OK.

(parent)

theantimodel @ June 24 2003, 00:38:57 UTC

I had noticed this. Quite funny actually, although I do know the feeling, i used to be horribly ashamed that i worshiped *NSYNC, now I just embrace my tOObyness and admit it *shrugs* people actually seem to think it's cool that I am willing to admit it.

oh and Lisa rocks! I love how she was trying so hard to stay calm and trying so hard to be helpful when she really just felt like falling apart. You could really see it in her first two posts on that thread, like how she forgot to give mcGonagall Michael's last name. I just loved her here.

(parent)

notapipe @ June 24 2003, 01:03:21 UTC

I have the questionable benefit of having my CDs stolen halfway through high school and now I don't really remember what I listened to. I DO know I had no taste when I was 13 and listening to nothing besides John Williams and shitty kitsch songs on a bad local public radio station morning show, no band which I could possibly remember. Well, courage is good, also, the fact that you don't still do it helps.

Yeah, she's obviously trying as hard as she can to be useful and look after her flock (which is an even more apt term given her house), but doesn't exactly know how. I mean, I don't THINK there's a rational use of gobstones in a rescue effort (maybe shouting "COOOEEEE, We have some nice shiny gobstones!")...
